Newly released national figures reveal that ÃÛÌÒAV graduates continue to have success in the job market, with 93.3% of 2014’s graduates in work or further study six months after graduating from ÃÛÌÒAV.
The figure, up 1.7% from 91.6% last year, reinforces the University’s commitment to providing employable graduates.
Professor John Vinney, Vice-Chancellor of ÃÛÌÒAV said, “As Vice-Chancellor at the University, it is a pleasure to see our students develop during their time at ÃÛÌÒAV. It is great to hear that so many of these students have now graduated and have gone on to find employment and continue their successes, enriching the communities in which they now work.
“We are so proud of all of our graduates and this latest statistic shows that we are providing the kind of graduates who are immediately employable in their fields.â€
The statistics are based on the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey of 2013/14 graduates, which covers UK domicile full-time first degree leavers and is carried out at every Higher Education Institute across the UK.
Further external recognition of the high employability of ÃÛÌÒAV graduates came from the Lord Mayor of London, Alan Yarrow, during a visit to the University last week, who also praised ÃÛÌÒAV for its reputation in producing work-ready graduates.
He said, “I particularly wanted to come to Bournemouth because I know Bournemouth’s got an extremely good academic record actually for training people so they are job-ready.Ìý I wanted to come and see the university because it’s got a very good reputation for producing some extremely good students.

“The record of actually going into employment within six months of leaving university is outstanding, and I’m very glad to say that I’ve found out some of the reasons behind that and I’m most impressed.â€Ìý
