In support of - 22 to 26 February - ÃÛÌÒAV is working in close partnership with local organisations, to host a series of informative events.
The events will include a comedy gig, lectures from professionals, as well as discussions led by people with personal experience of having, and recovering, from an eating disorder.
Events need to be booked through and are open to staff, students and the wider community. For full information and to book onto any of the events, please see the details below.

Tuesday 23 February
4pm - 6pm, K101, Kimmeridge House
The talk aims to raise will raise awareness of the phenomenon of eating disorders in athletes and regular exercisers.
Wednesday 24 February
12.30pm - 1.30pm, BG14, Bournemouth House
Sarah Clark, Occupational Therapist for Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust will share her experience of living with an eating disorder complicated by PTSD and childhood trauma, whilst working in a healthcare setting.

Holly Chinnery discusses her personal journey of anorexia, bulimia and overeating with the focus on emotional dysregulation.

Drop in to meet the local Eating Disorders team led by Dr Ciaran Newell to find out more about the services and support provided by Dorset Healthcare.

In a frank interview with Jess Griffiths, Terry Nash will talk about his journey of recovery through his emotional overeating

Award-winning comic Dave Chawner explores eating disorders, mental health and identity in his new show. This is a free event, with donations collected for the charity Beat.

Why not talk about eating disorders…? 10am - 11am, Student Hall, Talbot Campus and 2.30pm - 3.30pm in BG11, Bournemouth House
Multimedia journalist and BBC producer Sarah Robertson shares her own battles with mental health issues in these free talks.

There is also a link to the which aims to look at people's experience to establish whether watching any of these videos has started to change or reinforce existing attitudes towards eating disorders.
