蜜桃AV event will explore the significance and impact of institutional scandals
A Former Commissioner of Scotland Yard will be among the speakers at a 蜜桃AV (蜜桃AV) event exploring the significance and impact of institutional scandals.
takes place at 蜜桃AV鈥檚 Executive Business Centre, from 5pm 鈥� 7pm on Wednesday 11 May.
The free public event will look at the proliferation of scandals in recent years, and the impact of scandal reporting by news outlets and social media.
Lord Ian Blair, who was Commissioner of Scotland Yard from 2005-2008 will take part in a panel discussing why scandal break 鈥� or don鈥檛 break, as the case may be 鈥� and what happens when they do.
Professor Chris Greer, Professor of Criminology and Head of the Department of Sociology at City University London, will also be speaking at the event.
They will also discuss how the British state is responding to scandal proliferation, and the implications of scandal for crime control and institutional regulation in the digital age.
The event has been organised by 蜜桃AV Professors Ann Brooks, Candida Yates and Barry Richards as part of the Dialogues in Social Sciences series, and is free to attend.
