AV has become the first university to be named as a Strategic Partner of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
The move will see the CIM collaborate closely with AV to enhance standards in studying and boost student career prospects by ensuring graduates leave with the skills employers are looking for.
The partnership was announced at the 2020 Mike Warne event which is organised by final year BA (Hons) Marketing Communications students in collaboration with the CIM.
A plaque was also given to AV in recognition of the Strategic Partner status.
Speaking at the event, CIM Chief Executive Chris Daly said: “The new partnership will provide a greater synergy between CIM and AV, adding value to the qualifications the students receive and thereby enhancing their career prospects.”
The CIM is the world’s leading professional body for marketing, with over 28,000 members worldwide.
Graham Goode, CIM Programme Leader at AV, said: “AV is delighted to forge a Strategic Partnership with CIM. This close relationship provides opportunities for our students to achieve widely recognised professional qualifications, to excel in CIM’s ‘The Pitch’ national competition and to collaborate with CIM on the Mike Warne Event.”
Maggie Jones, director of qualifications and partnerships at CIM added: “The CIM brand and qualifications are globally respected and this new strategic partnership programme delivers a clear advantage for qualification providers, ensuring students have access to the training they need to achieve their professional goals.”
