   The Women in Entrepreneurship event heard from a range of inspirational women who are entrepreneurs and professional.

4. Thank you, NHS: ÃÛÌÒAV healthcare building turns blue

   Yesterday, Thursday 30 April, ÃÛÌÒAV's new Bournemouth Gateway Building turned blue for the night to show support for the NHS.

5. ÃÛÌÒAV student speaks at the Sixth World Youth Buddhist Symposium in Thailand

   ÃÛÌÒAV Sociology & Anthropology student Alexandra Jarrett delivered a speech titled ‘Consumerism and the False Self’ 

6. SSCoDA: a new project on combating Digital Addiction with Zayed University

   ESOTICS group are working on a new project designing future software tools to assist in combatting the problematic use of technology and to promote healthier and more conscious and self-controlled usage styles.

7. The Youth Disability Advocacy and Research Network

   This AHRC-funded Youth Disability Advocacy and Research Network is run by ÃÛÌÒAV's Dan Jackson, Catalin Brylla and Mike Sunderland. It supports disability activism and reduce stigma in East Africa.

8. Advertising students benefit from Exterion Media partnership

   Students from the new Advertising Master’s course were set a brief and given the task of presenting to a team of four from the UK-based advertising company as a part of their course work.

9. Smart homes report launched at the House of Lords, with support from ÃÛÌÒAV

   A report into smart home technology to support independent living has been launched at a special meeting of the All-Party-Parliamentary-Group for Assistive Technology in the House of Lords. 

10. Atech Policy Lab celebrates first anniversary

    The Lab, a collaboration between Policy Connect, ÃÛÌÒAV, and the Ace Centre, aims to design policy to make technology work for everyone – and has undertaken a range of policy interventions in its first year.
