Apply to Graduate

BSCCommencementSSJS267.jpgIn order for a student to be awarded a degree, they must complete an Application for Degree.
  • The Apply for Graduation form in Campus Connection is not active! Students should submit their Application for Degree using the links below.
  • Students are encouraged to apply immediately following enrollment in their final semester courses.
  • If the student is planning on continuing their studies at BSC and seeking another degree immediately following graduation, they will also need to complete a Continuing Enrollment Form.
  • Students can check their graduation status in Campus Connection using this help sheet. 

How to Apply for Graduation

  1. Determine if you are ready to graduate
Confirm that you are ready to graduate by doing the following:
  • Review your Academic Requirements Report to make sure you have met your program requirements.
  • Review the  to make sure you meet all the requirements to graduate.
  • Visit with your Academic Advisor to see if you should apply for your degree and when.
 
  1. Gather the information you’ll need to apply
To make the application process more efficient, please review/collect the information below.
  • Make sure you know what degree(s) you are applying for.
  • Your student ID number is a 7-digit number and can be found in CampusConnection in the Profile tab or on the back of your Mystic Card (first 7 digits only).
 
  1. Complete the Application for Degree
Beginning in Fall 2025, we will be using a new and improved Application for Degree system!
  • Select the term to apply
    • Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and/or Summer 2026 (Coming soon!)

I’ve Already Applied to Graduate. What’s Next?

Monitor Graduation Status Check BSC Email
  • Please check your regularly as we will send updates, questions, and additional information there.
Changes, Updates, and/or Cancellations  Continuing Enrollment 
  • If you indicated that you will be attending BSC immediately following graduation, you must complete a Continuing Enrollment form to be eligible for future enrollment. 
Commencement Ceremony  Legacy Graduate 
  • If you are attending the Commencement Ceremony and have a parent or grandparent that graduated from BSC or BJC, you may be eligible to receive a special cord to wear at Commencement.  Request a legacy cord. 
Military/Veteran Graduate 
  • Connect with Veterans Services to see if you are eligible to receive a special cord to wear at Commencement
 
Final Audit – Degree Posting – Diploma Mailing Timeline
 
  • Once all grades have been posted at the end of the semester, a final audit will be conducted of your degree requirements.
    • The final audit process can take up to 4 weeks.
    • Diploma printing and mailing can take an additional 2-3 weeks.
  • If requirements have been met:
    • Your graduation status is updated in CampusConnection to Degree Awarded
    • The degree is posted to your BSC transcript.
      • An email notice will be sent out when we have started posting degrees.
  • If requirements have not been met, an email will be sent to your BSC email account letting you know what degree requirements you are missing and what your next steps are.
