Operations Management Waiver

Operations Management Waiver Application/Procedure

Pursuant to SBHE Policy 820, BSC may offer a waiver towards course tuition at BSC to students meeting eligibility requirements.
 
Waiver Details:
  1. Maximum of $500 (full-time 12+ credits) or $250 (part-time, taking 6 to 11 credits) awarded per semester for each semester.
  2. The waiver applies to tuition only. Tuition waivers do not include mandatory fees, class fees, books, board, room, insurance, taxes, or any other costs.
  3. Waiver applications do not guarantee a waiver. Available waiver amounts are limited, therefore applications will be reviewed along with all eligibility requirements and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for students who meet the criteria of the waiver.
  4. Students requesting a second-term qualification for the waiver must have a 2.0 GPA or higher from their first term.
  5. If a student drops below their initial full-time or part-time status per the waiver guidelines, in their first semester of the waiver, they are ineligible to receive the waiver the second semester.
  6. Funding is limited and awards are first-come first-served. 
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must apply and be accepted to BSC in the BAS Operations Management Program for the upcoming semester as a degree-seeking student.
  • United States citizen or permanent resident
  • Submit waiver application for Fall 2025 by August 8, 2025 and Spring 2026 by January 9, 2026.
  • Student must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits.
Application Process:
  1. Student must meet all BSC admission requirements and be accepted for enrollment during the upcoming semester.
  2. BSC Assistant Dean and Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will review all applications that were received by deadlines.
  3. BSC Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will notify qualifying students of award.

Selection and Awarding Process:
  1. Assistant Dean and Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will select applicants based on eligibility criteria.
  2. Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will notify Student Finance to apply waivers.
 
Withdraws/Revocation:
  • Students who withdraw will be subject to the refund policy consistent with NDUS policy 830.2 and will be responsible for any outstanding balance on their student account.
 
Monitoring:
  • Renewal/Continuation of the waiver program will be at the discretion of the Executive VP.
